NJ Detention Center Puts Immigrants in Solitary
With an increased scrutiny on solitary confinemetnt use in jails and prisons across the country, very little attention and/or oversight is given to the use of solitary in immigration detention. Khalil joins Andrew Lyubarsky, a member of the NYU School of Law Immigrant Rights Clinic who recently authored a report on harsh and unnecessary treatment at NJ detention centers, to discuss the confinement tactics being used today.
